Several major U.S. ports such as the Port of Los Angeles, the Port of Long Beach, and the Port of Chicago have seen a significant surge in inspection rates, with a focus on issues like misreporting, underreporting, and intellectual property rights violations. Particularly, inspection stations in ports like Seattle, Houston, and Miami have experienced congestion, leading to increasing logistics delays. ● New York Inspections: Random inspections. Delays of about a week are expected due to the high number of issues related to the value of goods and CPSFDA. ● Los Angeles Inspections: Random inspections. ● Oakland Inspections: Random inspections. ● Detroit Inspections: Random inspections. Delays of about 2 weeks are expected due to congestion at the inspection station. ● Miami Inspections: Focus on issues related to the value of goods, intellectual property rights, EPA, and DOT. Delays of about 2 weeks are expected due to congestion at the inspection station. ● Chicago Inspections: Focus on issues related to the value of goods, CPS, and FDA. ● Dallas Inspections: Focus on issues related to the value of goods, EPA, and CPS. ● Houston Inspections: Random inspections. Inspection numbers have increased, leading to delays of about 2 weeks due to congestion at the inspection station. ● Seattle Inspections: Random inspections.
